Why We Like The Grade Carbon Elite Gravel Bike

From gravel roads through farmlands to swerving on double track trails and everything in between, the Grade Carbon Elite Gravel Bike is there to offer a sense of fun and adventure. This bike lets us revel in our biking glory days with a gravel-dedicated groupset, all-terrain tires, and a comfortable geometry, so we can hop around at our heart's desire and go where we wouldn't dare to on a less capable bike. We appreciate that the Grade Carbon Elite is also Di2 and Stealth Dropper compatible so we can level up our ride if we want to.

The Grade Carbon Elite is fixed with Shimano's GRX groupset for dedicated gravel grinding. With it, we're promised smooth and precise shifting that takes us up and down shifty gravel roads, dusty trails, and rooty, rocky surfaces with ease. Floating seat stays and Triple Triangle increase compliance for a more comfortable ride over tricky terrain and more confidence in our abilities. To round it all out, WTB Nano TCS Light 700 x 40c tires offer the smooth-rolling, grip, and traction we need to feel confident pedaling over shifty surfaces.

Amazing adventure bike - Fast/Smooth!

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

This bike is seriously fun, super comfortable and fast too. It just makes you want to keep riding and exploring, jumping back and forth between roads to smooth trails without any hesitation. Only had it for a few days but I've already taken out 4 or 5 times in a mix of terrains. I live in Maine and the roads aren't always the smoothest, but with this bike it all feels really smooth, it soaks up vibration and bumps amazingly well. I'm riding stronger and longer than on my road bike because there's no fatigue from bumps/vibrations. On smooth gravel and smaller pebbles/rocks, no issues at all either. Super smooth and comfortable. Wheels/tires are super comfortable and feel fast, on or off road. The frame of the bike is not only light and strong, but flexes where it's designed to and really helps makes this bike extremely smooth on gravel and bumpy roads, and pedals GREAT on the road. Saddle is super comfortable as well, so the combination of that and the frame design, both make you just want to keep riding/exploring longer on this bike. Bring your lights, because you'll extend your rides well after the sun goes down with how fun this bike is! Found myself on some rooty sections of trail and that's where you start bumping into the limits of gravel bikes in general, but even then, in the real bumpy sections the bike handles well and the clutch on the read derailleur kept the chain tight and avoided any chain slap. All around amazing bike, super comfortable and perfect for exploration. I'll be putting some serious miles on this one, it's freshened up up my riding and I'm super happy with it!

Love the bike

I recently ordered this bike, and was initially reluctant, as I had never ordered a bike online, and was not sure how difficult it would be to put together. It couldn't have been easier. The bike was securely packed, came with all the necessary tools and even had air in the tires! It only took about 20 minutes before I was taking my first test ride. This bike is phenomenally light and so easy to pick up and put in the bed of my truck without lowering the tailgate. I've ridden about 20 miles so far, and can not be happier with the choice to go for a carbon frame bike. I definitely notice the difference in the vibration-dampening in the frame, thanks to the carbon and the floating stays and triple-triangle design, especially when riding on hard-packed gravel trails and rougher blacktop roads. I've even taken it over a couple of small drops, maybe (a little over a foot), and had no problems with the chain popping off. I shopped around for a while, looking in the $1800 - $2500 price range, and this looked by far like the best bike for the money. Could not be happier with the purchase. Would absolutely recommend.

Fun bike! I've use it so far on many pavement and crushed gravel combination rides. Performs and feels great to ride. It makes you feel quick and you can create a lot of power with it. Tubeless setup is easy with the WTB rims and tires. Highly recommend. GT knows what they are doing with Grade gravel bikes.

Grade A

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I got to take a few mixed surface rides on this bad boy, and definitely had a good time on it. Rode a slightly smaller frame than what I would usually ride, but felt overall fine with the geo changes you'd expect from a gravel bike (increased stack, slightly taller stand over height & slacker headtube) coming from traditional road geometry. Carbon frame felt compliant and less.. jarring (for lack of better words) when the washboard got real. Wheels and tires did everything I asked of them. The group set performed flawlessly, mechanical shifting was snappy, positive and didn't have a single misshift. What you'd expect from GRX.
