Why We Built The Stoic Groundwork Single Sleeping Bag
We designed the Stoic Groundwork Single Sleeping Bag for pushing our camping season into shoulder season temps and even into winter. The mummy shape works together with Thermolite synthetic insulation to trap warmth even in ice-cold environments. We utilized a 20D ripstop shell fabric with a DWR finish for durable, water-resistant performance that holds up to heavy usage for multiple seasons of use.

Neighbor thought I froze & died in -40°

My heat went out when it was -40°f outside. It was 4am so I pulled out my sleeping bag and went back to sleep. My phone froze and died, and all the water in my cabin froze— coffee machine, dish basin, greywater bucket, etc. Indoors it was approximately 8° but I was very comfortable inside the bag. I woke up to my landlady bursting through my door in because she thought I had frozen to death in there. In fact my dog and I were just soundly asleep in this sleeping bag. Highly recommend since I didn’t die. I also used this to camp from NC to AK and temps ranged from about 5°f to 80°f or so. Bag is great for all seasons but gets a little too warm around 60°. Only complaint is that the zipper gets stuck frequently and I did pee my pants one time because I was stuck inside trying to get out to use the restroom so I took off one star

Big fan of the stoic bags. This is a reliable and high-quality sleeping bag that has proven its worth in some super cold conditions. It's exceptionally warm and comfortable and I have had no issues with the zipper. I have no hesitation in recommending this sleeping bag to fellow adventurers who need a dependable companion for cold-weather trips. At the price it makes sense to grab it as an extra for friends.
