Q: What's different between the Prio, HFS, and Speed Force?

The Prio is our best-selling "do almost anything" shoe -- running, hiking, working out, you name it. With a durable upper, it provides a bit more protection. The Speed Force is our lightest, "most barefoot" shoe. More feedback as you step and a mesh upper that holds like a glove, you get a "barely there" experience. The HFS is lighter than the Prio, more rugged than the Speed Force. The HFS's sole has a tire tread-inspired sole that's made to handle roads and have extra traction. The huarache-inspired midfoot and instep straps are "hiding" behind a protective welded material. And the moisture wicking lining for extra comfort and breathability.

Like the original HFS, the HFS II is super lightweight (8.3 oz, M9) so you’ll feel like you’re flying down the road. And with a new tire tread-inspired outsole, you’ll feel secure even if you go off road.

HFS II is so comfy, you might forget to take them off at the end of your run – we’ve even had people go to bed still wearing their shoes because they forgot they had them on!

Caring for your Xero Shoes

To clean your Xero Shoes, hand wash with warm water, mild soap and allow them to air dry. We do not recommend putting them in the washing machine or dryer.

Do you ship internationally?

We do! We’ve sold Xero Shoes to people in more than 85 countries around the world.
We use the US Postal service to send our shipments. The cost to ship will depend on the weight of the package and the delivery speed you select; several options will be provided at checkout.

All domestic shipments come with tracking. Limited tracking is available for some first class international shipments depending on the country, and full tracking is available with all Priority Express and Express International shipments.

Though almost all of our international orders arrive without incident, we strongly advise you to select Priority Express International or Express International if you live in a country with a less reliable postal service, including (but not limited to) India, Brazil, Mexico, South Africa, and Indonesia. We cannot guarantee delivery of packages shipped using First Class International.

International delivery can take anywhere from 3 days to 8 weeks depending on how long your order spends in customs at the border.

Please note that some countries do require the payment of import duties for international shipments above a certain value. We advise you to know the import regulations of your country and understand that you will be responsible for payment of any duties and fees imposed by your government at the border.

All packages will be marked as merchandise; as a commercial shipper, we are not able to mark a package as a gift (if you’re giving Xero Shoes as a gift, that’s not the same as us sending a gift).

HFS II Review

Great improvement from the HFS’s! They were by far my favorite shoe but were starting to get worn out. I upgraded to the HFS II’s and I wish I would have made the change sooner! The HFS II’s feel like they have a little more protection and a thicker sole, which is great because these are my running shoes. They fit true to me and my toes and foot have plenty of room to move, but without sliding and causing any blisters.

Wonderful quality and comfort!

Over the past year, I transitioned to zero drop, and then barefoot shoes. After years of spending tons of money on Hoka, Altra, and Topo shoes that have soles made of tissue paper and marshmallows, it was a pleasure trying my first pair of Xero HFS IIs. 5000 mile soles? What voodoo is this? I’ve already put my first 25 miles on them and the soles look new. And top of everything else, they’re comfortable! I’m Xero for life here on out.

HFS vs HFS II

The basis of my review is the comparison of the two versions. The OG’s were great! Lasted over 700 miles and I’ll still hold onto them for back ups. The HFS II came in and off the bat I had to remove the insole to make room in the shoe. Went to tie and the laces were extremely short. I’m going to swap the laces out with the old HFS’s. Toe box seems smaller too. I wore 11’s in the HFS. I have 10.5 in the HFS II based on true to size recommendations.

Awesome!

This is my first pair of "barefoot" shoes which I use for mostly road running. The zero drop feels great and like it may help my posture. The toe box is wide enough and I like that there is a little extra material under my feet in this model while acclimating to this style of shoe. No pain when I step on small rocks, etc., though I can tell they are there. Later maybe I'll take out the insole. Also, I normally where a size 10 running shoe, and this fit true to size. I'm glad I didn't size a half or hole size up like many reviewers suggest. Phew!
